The Minnesota Chronicles

Here is a chronicle of our trip to Minnesota. I am including pictures to help with the story! The first day, we traveled to Tennessee and visited with my Aunt and Uncle. My father is buried on their farm, so we were able to visit his grave. Looking at the Dad's gravestone Dad's Gravestone We left Tennessee and went to Ohio to visit some friends there. I don't have a picture from there, but it was a bit out of the way so it made the 3rd day longer than expected. We spent 15+ hours in the car and taking breaks so that Maggie wouldn't go crazy. We snapped this photo somewhere along the way. Sleeping Maggie! On our way, we went through Chicago. The people we are living with now gave us a GPS for the car and it did a great job telling us how to get to Minnesota save Chicago. I do not recommend driving through Chicago it you are just driving through. The GPS told us to exit, but there wasn't an exit. The roads were so covered in construction that the exit wasn't where it used to be. When we tried to find our way back on the interstate, we couldn't find an on-ramp. Turns out it was a toll road. After being led astray by a Cook County sheriff's deputy, and roaming around for more than a hour, we made it back on the right interstate. We arrived in Minnesota at 12:30 AM after leaving Ohio at 7:30 AM...lots and lots of fun! Saturday was graduation. We had a great time. We hung out with the other 3 guys that finished with me. Out of 15 or so people who started with my group, only six of us finished on time and 2 of the 6 did not make graduation. Guys with Profs Here we are with Dr. McCloskey and Dr. Irving. Here I am getting my hood from Dr. Stone and Dr. Ferris. Getting My Hood Angel Maggie Family at Graduation Beth and Maggie had a good time and I am very lucky that they put up with all this over the last 3 years. I can't say that driving to the 2500+ miles in a week with 3 year old was the most fun thing I ever did, but I am glad that we made it safe and I was able to walk in my graduation ceremony. recap States traveled through Georgia Tennessee Kentucky Ohio Indiana Illinois Wisconsin Minnesota Iowa Miles Traveled 2500+ Days gone 7 Hours in the car 36+
