Yesterday I stood in line at the post office to expedite my passport application so I can go to the Philippines in March. Our sister church here in California helped plant a church in the Philippines several years ago. The pastor from our sister church has been several years in a row now, but this will be my first trip off the North American continent. I did walk across the Rio Grande back in 1996ish, but that was way before 9/11 so it wasn't that big of a deal to walk across.
So I am pretty excited. I don't think I will enjoy the 15 hour flight, but I sleep pretty good on a plane, so I should be ok!
