In a Pinch

This past Saturday my pastor called me just before he was leaving Nebraska to fly home. He told me that he didn't know if he was going to make it and he would call me back when he got to Chicago and let me know if he was going to make it home for the Sunday service. At about 8:00 pm, my pastor called back from Wisconsin and said that the blizzard kept him from landing in Chicago and they had to divert him to Wisconsin but unfortunately the snow followed. So, at 9:00 pm he called me back from the hotel and we talked though his message and I had the priviledge of putting my spin on it and delivering the next morning! We have recently re-written our values as a church and so we are teaching through them on Sundays. This week I had got to start our series on Love & Reconciliation. For our congregation and city, this is a big deal. So I was able to put my 30 something, white male's prespective on how God can reconcile all of us to each other and to Him....
