A new Coffee Shop!
***Edited*** Mom pointed out my typos!
I have been on the search to find a new coffee shop to sit and work on my stuff. Today I gave the Main Street Cafe one more shot, but the internet doesn't work. I am not sure exactly what is going on, but it is ok because it seems to be where all the young moms and 'girlfriends' hang out. Nothing wrong with that, but I doesn't seem to be my scene! Today I tried the 'bean and leaf.' At first I wasn't sure if they had an internet connection, but as I was getting out of my truck I saw the episcopal priest from 'St. Mary the Virgin Church' sitting there surfing the net. He told me that the mail center next door was owned by the same guy and he had internet. I went in and he gave me the password to the router. It was very cool! The great thing about this coffee shop is that it is run by young college aged 'looking' people. I think I will get along better here. From just sitting and listening, I have discovered that the girl behind the counter has recently had a baby...and that she lives with her daughter and boyfriend. Also the guy behind the counter asked my about my college ring so I told him it was from a small baptist college in Texas. Hopefully that will open some doors....no telling how people will react when you tell them you have been affiliated with a Christian institution.
You can pray that I will have meaningful conversations with the people who work here. That is my prayer...that I am able to kindle new friendships here!
