One of those days!

I had one of those days today that makes you want to go away and be away from people for a while. I usually have 3 meetings on Tuesday that take me through the 3 O'clock hour. Today, in my second and third meeting, I had frustrating conversations that had me wanting to get away for a while. After my last meeting, I received an email from my school telling the 'Statement of Faith' paper that is required for gradation had not yet been received even though I had mailed it 2 weeks ago. I was very upset. If I did not send the paper in by the 16th of February, I would not graduate this year and would have to wait until next year. I am sure you can understand why I would be upset. The lady I spoke with said that she believed that I had mailed the paper and was willing to let me submit them again, but I needed to mail them in today. So I frantically tried to print them out but I was having trouble with the printer. While I was working on the problem (I am also the I.T. person at our church) the lady called me back and said that she found my papers and that she was sorry. At the end of the conversation, she chuckled, trying to play off the situation. I did not find it very funny, but after my day today, I was just glad that I didn't have to go and find the receipt from the post office to show proof that I had mailed the paper when I said I did. So tonight, I am looking forward to watching American Idol and not thinking about anything! On a different, more positive note, I ordered a couple of books that I received today. One is "The Present Future" and the other is "The Blogging Church." I haven't read "The Present Future" yet, but "The Blogging Church" is a book recommended by my friend Mike. It is about how to use blogs in a ministry/church context. I read the first chapter and I think it is going to be worth the read. I look forward to a better day tomorrow!
