Shaken, not Stirred

We just experienced our first earthquake.  While all my east coast peeps were lying cozy in their beds, we had an 5.6 earthquake with the epicenter in San Jose.  Basically what that means is that the building I was in shook and the popcorn ceiling pieces started falling.  Beth was at home with Maggie and Beth first thought that Maggie was banging into her chair...Maggie didn't even notice.  She was busy watching "Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." The best way I can describe it is that it felt like we were on a bad amusement park ride...the floor felt like it wasn't attached to the walls and moved separately from the rest of the building... Since we are over an hour from the center, 5.6 only shook us for a couple of seconds. We have officially been indoctrinated into the California lifestyle.
