An Update and Stuff

Daniel, Beth and my mom 'virtually' yelled at me for not blogging an update so here you go! The pastor search team made the decision to recommend me to the congregation to be voted on to be their pastor.  Beth and I are excited and have begun the difficult journey of staying focused here.  The vote will be July 8th.  When my mom found out the date, she wrote me an email to remind me that it was my dad's birthday and how proud he would have been of me.  I did remember that it was his birthday, but it was a very cool email from mom. Of course we must wait on the vote, but we are making tentative plans so we are not behind later in the month.  Tentatively, my first Sunday will be August 12th.  We most likely will be moving the week of July 29th-August 4th.  We are also making plans to attend the Brethren National Conference in July.  It should be fun. On a different note, Mike (my friend from seminary) wrote a blog about the upcoming  tour for Rob Bell.  If you are in Manteca, take a look at the date and venue for San Fransisco and see if it is something you would like to go see.  Beth and I would love to get a group together to go. (If we are there of course)...There is also a date for Hotlanta for the LaGrange clan! There you go...the only other thing to say is that I am preaching my last sermon at New Community Church on July 1st.  If you are in town, I hope you will make it to the service.
